This was something I wrote over the summer when I had dreads and I had a hard time getting a job:







My hairstyle is irrelevant to my work ethic or how productive I am. It does say a lot about my relationship with my culture. Like anyone, I respect and cherish what I am and what I came from. I am focused and extremely versatile. I am smart and always hungry for knowledge. Most days are sleepless and when I am not awake I am constantly dreaming of my potential success.
